How about we make the night flexible on a week by week basis? It may mean occasional Mondays, but you can miss the odd session without doing too much harm.

DarthPaul and daf, how would you feel about this? We could choose any night from a Monday - Thursday as we are at the moment and just play when as many clanners as possible are available.

Obviously deciding on the time and place a week in advance.

For example, we are starting next Tuesday as I can't commit to Mondays at the moment.

Fine with me I am usually fine for Monday to Thursday anyway unless there is a decent football game on TV  So more than happy to work week to week if it means more players.

Yeah, me too. After the FM09 clan dwindled so quickly from about 11 of us to just 3, I think it'll be good to be flexible.

Yeah I'm up for it but like i've said before I do work shifts so I may miss some weeks. It will probably only be one week a month that I'm on nights. Is that a problem?

Also I've never joined a network game before so I'll need help. Instructions for dummies  :)

Right, you're in. Welcome to hell LLM-B Clan

Cool :)

You'll have to help me out to begin with, not familiar with the network play. I'm guessing you're still using Hamachi? Haven't got a clue how that works

;D

It's not so long ago that East Stirlingshire were the worst team in the world though.

I'm sure they finished bottom about 5 years in a row, or something like that. In fact, I just looked it up and they did - bottom from 2002/03 to 2006/07. In 2003/04 they only got 8 points! ;D

If they'd finished bottom in 2007/08 they face expulsion from the league, but finished second from bottom......finishing 1 point ahead of Forfar!!! ;D

Plus - look at the 2008/09 table, which I'm sure will have a bearing on how good the teams are:

Not looking too good for Paul. ;D

We don't use Hamachi anymore, something in my system caused it to fail and I could never get it working again. To be fair, the network play seems to have been quicker (or equally quick) just through the game anyway.

I would love to but I can't commit to Monday nights. I play 5-a-side.  :(

We won't always be playing on Mondays though. In fact, I think we're starting on Tuesdays, then being flexible from there depending on who can make it and when. :)

Yarp!

To the new guys, you'll need an IRC client program as that's how we chat to each other.

DarthPaul did point me in the direction of a free-standing version of Chatzilla if you want to use that, or if you use FireFox just install the Chatzilla plugin
