Hello everyone.. I have noticed an annoying issue/bug in FM 2011.
When you already have created your tactic, named it, then finally saved it, but, then created another different one, with all it's different values, I mean team instructions, player roles/instructions, so, after you're done creating the new one and try loading the previous one, it does not retain the values you've set for that specific tactic.
Supposedly those specific instructions where saved, but I can only see the most recent one on screen, with only the name of the archive changing, probably the counter attacking option might not be ticked anymore, same with off side trap, but that's about it really, it does not retain or load the specific archive I have previously saved!! (mentality, philosophy, passing, etc..).
Much to my annoyance, I have deleted all my archived tactics, and recreated all 3 different ones I wanted my team to play, yet, whenever I load/try loading any previous tactic, team instructions remain exactly the same like the most recent one created.
Is that a general bug everyone here is suffering with?? By the way, my game has the latest patch update through steam, so it's not a version of the game issue.
Anyone found a way to work around it?? I'd much appreciate it if you would help me out.
Thanks in advance.

I can't quite follow what you're saying, so forgive me if this is irrelevant.
Once you've created and saved a tactic you can make changes to it. You can change the roles, duties or the sliders, depending on what you want. When you make these changes you can then save the tactic again and retain the changes.
Providing you save the old tactic before you create a new one, you should be fine. You can also save the tactic under a different name to avoid overwriting it.

Thank you for your reply. Sorry, I think I did not make my question clear.
I created a counter starting strategy in tactics, together with it's specific instructions: passing, philosophy, closing down, player role, duties, etc.. After saving it with the name COUNTER, I went on creating another tactic which is based on attacking starting strategy, also with it's specific instructions, saved it with the name ATTACK. Now, once I'm done saving my ATTACK tactic, I want to roll back to the saved COUNTER tactic, so I go and load from archived tactics the file name COUNTER. What actually happens there, as it does correctly load players' roles and duties, BUT it does NOT load the team instructions at all!
Thanks again, & sorry for posting the topic twice earlier on, my bad.

cyrusii are you definitely saving the tactic after making the individual and team instruction changes and not just saving it when prompted too at the end of the tactics creator?
Apologies if that came across as patronising, it wasn't meant to!
Just thought it was worth double checking as, like Millie I have had nothing like this crop up on my game.

No worries mate, yes I assure you, I have saved it several times!!! Just because it kept pissing me off!!!
In FM2010 it used to be perfect.. but this edition, it's definitely an issue.. well at least I doubt it's only my download!! I'm also up to date through steam.
