So last season from 16th of december to 27th of january 5 players from my main squad got injured for 4 or more months. It was spanish second division b4 and I had dropped out of the cup so the fixtures weren't congested, the training workload was around the middle with physical training at 1st medium for everyone except goalie, I wasn't playing a particularily agressive tactic - 4-5-1 with everything at default except for stick to position roaming. I even fired up genie scout to check if the players were super injury prone which they weren't. So whats going wrong? All of the players got injured during a game btw not during training. Am I setting the physical training values too low so that they aren't fit enough even when it says that the players are match fit? Or was it just a huge coincidence/winter bad luck?

Winter, bad luck, hard tackling used by opponents, players not fit enough...It could be any or all of those. Note that 'match fit' is not the same as 'fully fit' or 'superb condition'. Player who is 'match fit' could be getting jaded from a run of games or he could be lacking a bit of match fitness to be 'fully fit'. You can't really tell unless you pay attention to how long it was before the player played his last game. You can check that in stats->form on the player screen.

From previous experience managing in Spain, the Winter Break is both a blessing and a curse. Your players get some rest, but often the come back lacking sharpness and in less than ideal condition. You may need to rotate your squad a little more following the break to ease back into normal fitness.
